RESPONSIBILITIES

• This job is responsible for the accurate and timely performance of echocardiographic diagnostic testing in an appropriate manner so that the department consistently provides a high quality of patient care.
• In addition to Echocardiograms and Stress Echocardiograms, here are the specific vascular ultrasounds that would be performed:
  • ABI (ANKLE BRACHIAL INDEX)
  • AORTA
  • CAROTID
  • LOWER EXTREMITY VENOUS

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Echocardiograpy/ Ultrasound Technology
• Vascular experience preferred
• At least 6 months experience under the direction of an experienced technician or cardiologist in a hospital or physicianrsquo;s office.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support CPR certified. ARDMS registry or registry eligible.
